Streamlining a workflow for submitting for a permit to drill

Key Takeaways

Developers don't speak design.

Don't leave designs open ended for developers to figure out. Every hover state, typography spec, and link needs to be defined. If you leave it to them to figure out and assume what you wanted, you risk being very unhappy with the final product.

Always validate functionality.

Make sure developers can actually build what you are imagining. Most times they are rockstars and it's possible. But just make sure.

Be patient.

I started my design career in the fast-paced start up world where any delay can kill the business. In the corporate world, there are more stakeholders to review and more checkpoints to schedule. This is usually a good thing. Trust the process.
